“Don’t mistake movement for achievement” you could be going round in circles, but what are you achieving? Focus on your goals and be obsessed with wanting it, believe in yourself and believe that you will achieve your goals.
In order to go somewhere new, you need to challenge yourself, you need to take yourself out of your comfort zone if you want to go somewhere else, you need to work on your ideas, progress as you move closer to your goals. Remember, things won’t make you happy, stay focussed on your goals, if you want to be happy, you need to progress, keep raising your standards and keep working towards your must have goals. Do not fear change and the unknown, change will happen no matter what, take control of the situation and be responsible, work on progressing towards your goals, you own 100% responsibility for it.
Make your resolutions today and create a wish list into a plan, don’t just wish it, but do it. Ask yourself, what do you want to achieve? What does it look like? Is that vision strong enough to excite you? Because you need a vision strong enough to pull you, not something that makes you feel like it pushes you. If your vision is strong enough, then passion will be created, and you will be pulled towards it. What is the reason why you have that vision? This reason also needs to be strong enough to keep you going. If you have the answer to this, then no matter what happens in your life, you will keep going. Write this vision down and review it every day and every night, know that everyday you are progressing when you work towards your goals.
You don’t always get your goals, but what you do get is your standards, the standards you set for yourself. If you tell yourself that you must, then you will find the way to make it happen, no matter what. If you make your standards a must, then you will just suddenly decide and make the switch. When you make that switch you will follow through on who you are. Tell yourself you are, and you will. For example, if you have always been conditioned and told you are a certain type, and you just believed in it, then you may just automatically behave a certain way because you have been trained, this could have happened to you when you were a child, but this does not define you. You made decisions a long time ago and believed that was it and you can go no further, that’s not true, that was habit programmed into you over a long time. You can always redefine yourself and teach yourself new skills, if you are working towards progressing and growing yourself, then there is no limitation. Try it, joy can come from spontaneity, raise your standards and change your should into a must, believe who you are, redefine your identity and you will find a new way.
You can change your inner self by raising your standards, then back it up with bite sized actions, make those actions a ritual and you will live a new life. Don’t neglect the little actions, they all add up over time. Pursue your great ideas relentlessly, they will not come to you or be handed to you, you must work for it. Be around people with high standards and you will step up to become the best version of yourself. Remember, there’s two types of pain, the pain of discipline and the pain of regret, regret weighs more, so take that step today, take action now and you will find momentum.
Take a good look at yourself, reflect on your rituals that got you here where you are right now. Ask yourself, what are the rituals that will get you where you want to be? Start working on them.
Accept full responsibility of yourself, make no excuses on other people or the situations, don’t forego that power to someone else or something, you are still responsible, accept it 100% and rise up to the challenge. If you don’t like your current situation, change it, for anything you are not happy about, change it, refuse to make any excuses, forget the ifs buts and maybes, instead focus on what you want and where you are going, and work on it.
