Earl Shoaff made a great speech in 1962 in New York which has gone on to inspire many people to help others, including Jim Rohn. You too can help yourself to achieve success in your life. You can have anything you want if you put your mind to it.
The first thing you need to do is to define what is success to you. Can you describe and visualise it specifically? Don’t fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others and letting others dictate what they think you should have. Instead of looking externally, look internally instead and think of all the desires you want. What are all the things you want? What feelings do you want? Who do you want to be? Describing these desires specifically is key, this means being as precise as possible. You need to define it in great detail, so if it is money, cars and houses you want, be specific on the quantity, the colour, the size, the location etc. Define it enough so that you can visualise it in your mind. Now write it down.
This specific visualisation and well defined description you have written down is like a seed and your mind is like a garden. Accept this specific visualisation subconsciously and plant many more specific seeds. The reason why we plant so many is because this concept of achieving success is based on the law of averages, when you sow many seeds, you will have a higher chance of reaping more.
If you want positivity into your life, then you need to create and attract the positive thoughts that come into your mind. If your mind is like a garden, then you need to guard what comes into it. If you feed your mind with negative thoughts, you will manifest more of it, be careful what you allow in and guard your mind. Like a garden, once you have planted these seeds of thoughts into your mind, you need to feed it and nourish it, combat negativity with gratitude and be thankful that in a time in the future your garden will flourish into what you have visualised.
Feed your garden by giving it the ongoing care and love it needs to flourish. Share this love externally so the weeds from the outside do not attack it. Give others what you want and you too shall receive this back.
