  • When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change

Ask yourself, do you live in a friendly or hostile universe? Which is it? Because if you see hostility and anger, then that is exactly what you will create for yourself. If you have a problem, a difficulty or a struggle that is located on the inside, but you are looking for a solution on the outside, then it would be like going to the doctors and telling the doctor about all your symptoms, and the doctor writes out a long list of prescriptions for each symptom, but instead of the doctor giving it to you, the doctor prescribes it to all the people around you. If YOU are the one with the struggles and expecting somebody else to change to make life work for you, then this is something you really have to take a hard look at. It’s in YOU.

  • There are no justified resentments

No matter what anybody says to you, no matter what kind of anger comes towards you, no matter how much hate you encounter, there are no justified resentments. Meaning if you carry them around inside of you, and you have justified in your heart all the things you are resentful of, then all those resentments will ALWAYS end up harming you. Do not let the venom pour through your system, that will end up destroying you.

  • What you think is what you become

As you think, so shall you be. You will become what you think about all day long, and when you realise this, you will be careful for what you allow yourself to think about. A great story to display this is a book called, “As a Man Thinketh” – by James Allen.

  • Be open to everything and attached to nothing

Have a mind that is open to everything, but attached to nothing. Open yourself up to the potentiality and possibility that anything and everything is possible. So having a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing means you can get rid of a common trait that manifests in this world. Some people have wired their mind and are constantly searching for things to be offended by and they can interpret anything that can offend them, but with a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing, is saying you are never looking for anything to be offended by, it’s just a different point of view.

  • Don’t die with music still in you

Everyone has a mission and a purpose. What is it that you really want? How does it make you feel? Follow the music inside you and head towards it, as it will give you purpose and fulfilment. Don’t wait til the end of your life knowing you have not played yet. Don’t die with your music still in you.

As Marcus Aurelius said – “the happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts”
